Denture Design - CDT

Welcome to our Denture Design Studio at Transform Smiles. We are proud to be able to help denture wearers directly with our Clinical Dental Technicians. Our technicians have the experience of producing dentures in the Laboratory and how this fits into the mouth to give the perfect result. Our team deals with poor fitting dentures that may be loose or uncomfortable to wear as well as denture repairs, relines and additions to ensure you are always comfortable.

Our fully qualified Clinical Dental Technicians have over 25 years of experience in denture design to provide a combination of clinical ability, technical expertise and craftsmanship to ensure we create beautifully fitting, comfortable dentures that look natural and feel good.

Your dentures will be made personally by our denture technician at our on site laboratory using only the highest calibre of materials and technologies. Together, your clinician and the technician will ensure the perfect result for your dentures.

Please contact us by phone, email or in person to take advantage of this exclusive denture fitting service at Transform Smiles.

Complete Dentures

When we construct our complete dentures, we take impressions of the outside of the complete denture, the gum's surface, and the tongue and cheek areas in order to make sure that the dentures are created with a more accurate fit. In turn, patients with complete dentures constructed with this technique typically require little or no denture adhesive to keep their dentures in place.

There are so many benefits to having complete dentures made. First off, our complete dentures can help with increasing the lower face height. With other types of dentures, patients find that their face, lips, and cheeks physically change due to their missing teeth. Custom-made complete dentures by your dentist can help reduce this outcome.

If you are looking for a quality pair of complete dentures, call envisage dental today to learn more about how our custom complete dentures are the way to go!

Denture Clinic

At envisage dental we don’t just prescribe dentures; we redefine looks and recover lost smiles in our mission to help transform lives and make a real difference.

Our patients will receive a full denture consultation and we work closely with one of our selected laboratories to achieve the right result. Our dentists are able to discuss a range of options including implant retained dentures, same day teeth, suction dentures, partial dentures, cosmetic dentures, chrome dentures, copy dentures, immediate dentures, denture relines, stabilisation and denture repairs.

Our dental teams will listen to your needs and offer a treatment choice for clear results. Throughout the process, we will ensure we make you feel comfortable, in control, relaxed and at ease.

Denture Consultation

If you have missing teeth our denture consultation will form part of your Dental Health Check and you don’t need to be resigned to a life-time of wearing ill-fitting dentures that you can’t eat with and that look unnatural. Our dentist work with local laboratories to provide the highest quality solution for replacing missing teeth with dentures that have a superior fit and an exceptionally natural look.

Denture Repair

Are your dentures broken or cracked, missing a tooth or simply in need of a thorough clean? Dentures suffer from a lot of day-to-day wear and tear and can often break or become damaged when dropped. They can also be weakened as a result of tooth grinding or if they no longer fit your mouth properly.

If you are experiencing any of the above problems, our dentists can repair your dentures or give them a thorough clean or send them off for full repair with one of our technicians. Our dental team will of course be able to advise you if you have a more complex problem that may require the attention of a dentist.

Any damage to dentures identified during routine appointments at envisage dental will still be rectified as usual, wherever possible during the same appointment.

Prosthodontics - Dentures

A removable denture replaces missing teeth. 'Partial' dentures replace a few missing teeth and 'full' dentures are required if all the natural teeth are missing. Dentures are made of plastic and sometimes metal as well to make them strong and less bulky.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are often considered by patients that are not missing an entire arch of teeth, but rather a tooth or several teeth within an arch. Traditional partial dentures are sometimes not as aesthetically pleasing due to clips and metal pieces that may show when you talk, smile, or eat. While many individuals would fare best with a bridge or dental implant when replacing a missing tooth, it is not always a viable option for every patient. This is why partial dentures are often considered for patients that are not candidates for alternative treatments.

Plastic Dentures

Traditional or conventional partial dentures can sometimes be bulky and uncomfortable to wear, but plastic dentures are made and designed to be thinner and look plus function like natural teeth. Each partial denture is custom-designed for the patient and we ensure your denture teeth look as natural as possible, through positioning them to match the shape, size and form of your missing teeth.

Implant Retained Dentures

An implant-retained denture is a type of over- denture that is supported by and attached to implants in the jaw. A regular denture rests on the gums, and is not supported by implants. The denture clips on to the implant to keep it in place. An implant-retained denture is used when a person doesn’t have any teeth in the jaw, but has enough bone in the jaw to support implants. It is usual that at least 2 implants are needed to support the denture, but that will be decided depending on your particular needs.

Clinical Dental Technician

We have helped thousands of patients with their dentures and we know how much it means to get this right! To construct aesthetically pleasing dentures with comfort and function is one of hardest tasks in dentistry. We are not only replacing lost teeth, but also compensating for bone loss and very often sunken facial profiles which can age patients up to 10 years prematurely. In some complex cases and where complete dentures are needed, our dentist may work with a Clinical Dental Technician (CDT). The CDT is qualified to take impressions, make and fit the dentures – meaning an excellent result controlled by one person who has developed specific skills in this area.
