Chris came to us because he was unhappy with his current dentures in terms of look, comfort and function. He couldn’t eat properly and sometimes felt his dentures were loose fitting and uncomfortable. After assessment, we were able to recommend a denture solution that worked for Chris.
What we did
We discussed all the options available from implant retained dentures, bridges, partial dentures and permanent implants. Once Chris was happy with an option that suited his needs we booked him in for a set of impressions of his teeth. We then worked with our lab to create the denture using the finest materials. Chris was invited back for try-ins and fits until the result felt perfect.
Over the course of 2 weeks Chris underwent a full denture plan to replace his current dentures which were proving uncomfortable. After the treatment was completed Chris had the result he’d dreamed of – “a new absolutely perfect denture”.
What did Chris say
“ I needed a new denture as the others were getting very uncomfortable. I had a full assessment with my dentist and chose the option most suitable for me. My dentist was great and spent lots of time with me until we got a perfect fit. My dentist was absolutely brilliant and in the end I had a new absolutely perfect denture!”
Tim had a crown and over time, the underlying tooth had got weaker. During dental assessments the tooth was on watch - and eventually with little support left to hold the crown Tim was given the option of a consultation with our Implant Dentist and the option of a bridge, which meant impacting the healthy tooth in front.
What we did
Tim decided on the full Implant Assessment to see if he would qualify for a Dental Implant. During the assessment, the surgeon went through Tim’s medical history and oral health checks to ensure every chance of success. The Implant Dentist also explained the short, medium and long term process of having and caring for an implant, along with explaining the process from placement, to crowning.
After assessment, Tim was given a full treatment plan with various options and time scales. He decided to go ahead immediately and so the first step was to place the implant before letting it heal and take on a crown. The whole process took up to 6 months with just a couple of visits to ensure a successful long term outcome.
What did Tim say?
"I attended an assessment with the Implant Surgeon, where the procedure and pros and cons of implants were explained. It was very reassuring prior to committing to a long term process. I needed to replace a tooth already lost as I previously had a crown on this tooth which didn’t have sufficient support and eventually fell off! The Implant caused no problems or pain and I had no discomfort or inconvenience during the period of treatment. I now have a new tooth that allows me to eat normally again! It also blends in with my teeth so you don’t notice it. I would be quite happy to go through this process again if necessary as the Dentist and his team were highly professional throughout. Pay as you go eases the financial impact but it was well worth the cost. A good job, well done!"
