Implant secured dentures are designed to provide a more stable alternative to traditional removable dentures.
Dental implants are small titanium posts that are placed into the jawbone to act as artificial tooth roots. Once the implants have healed and integrated with the bone, a denture can be securely attached to them.
This can help provide greater stability compared with conventional dentures and may improve comfort when eating and speaking.
Replacing missing teeth may also help support overall oral health. When teeth are missing, the surrounding bone and neighbouring teeth can change over time. Implant-supported dentures can help restore both the appearance and function of your smile.
At Transform Smiles, implant secured dentures are carefully planned using modern technology and treatment planning techniques to ensure the most appropriate treatment approach for each patient.
How Implant Secured Dentures Work
Several dental implants are placed into the jawbone to act as secure anchors.
Once healing has taken place — typically around 3 to 6 months — a custom-made denture is attached to the implants. This denture is designed to fit comfortably and provide improved stability compared with traditional removable dentures.

Are You Suitable for Treatment?
Dental implants require healthy gums and sufficient bone to support the implants.
During your consultation, the dentist will assess your oral health using clinical examination and imaging such as X-rays or scans.
If implant secured dentures are suitable for you, a personalised treatment plan will be created and all available options will be discussed with you.
Are you suitable for treatment?
Patients must have healthy gums and enough jawbone to support dental implants. At your initial consultation our dentist will use x-rays and scans to establish if pre-treatment is required and will explain this further.
Some patients may need to see a hygienist for a course of treatment to ensure their gums are strong and healthy before the dental implant process can begin.
our dentist will also check that there is sufficient bone for an implant to be placed successfully at this initial consultation. If there is insufficient bone you may need to need pre-treatment before your dental implants can be placed. This may include oral surgery procedures such as bone grafting, bone expansion or sinus lifts.
