Dental implants can be an effective option for replacing a missing tooth. They are designed to provide a stable foundation for a replacement tooth while maintaining the appearance and function of your smile.
As well as restoring your smile, replacing missing teeth may help support your overall dental health. When a tooth is missing, the surrounding bone and neighbouring teeth can be affected over time. Replacing the tooth may help maintain the natural structure of your mouth.
To replace a single missing tooth, a dental implant is placed into the jawbone to act as an artificial tooth root. This small titanium post is positioned carefully by our implant dentist and left to heal and integrate with the bone. This process usually takes around 3 to 6 months.
Once healing has taken place, a custom-made crown is attached to the implant. The crown is designed to match the shape and colour of your surrounding teeth to provide a natural-looking result.
At Transform Smiles, we provide dental implant treatment for a range of cases. Our team uses modern technology and treatment planning techniques to help ensure each treatment is carefully tailored to the patient.

Are You Suitable for Treatment?
Dental implants require healthy gums and sufficient bone to support the implant. During your consultation, our dentist will assess your oral health using clinical examination and imaging such as X-rays or scans.
In some cases, patients may require preparatory treatment before implant placement. This may include hygiene treatment or procedures to help ensure the gums and bone are healthy enough to support the implant.
Your dentist will explain all available options and provide a personalised treatment plan if dental implants are suitable for you.
