If you have several missing teeth, dental implants may be used to support replacement teeth and restore your smile.
In some cases, each missing tooth can be replaced with an individual implant. If several teeth are missing next to each other, it may be possible to support a dental bridge using fewer implants.
Traditional dental bridges often require neighbouring healthy teeth to be shaped to support the bridge. Implant-supported bridges are secured to dental implants instead, meaning surrounding teeth may remain untouched.
As well as restoring the appearance of your smile, replacing missing teeth may help support your overall dental health. When teeth are missing, the surrounding bone and neighbouring teeth can be affected over time.
Dental implants are small titanium posts placed into the jawbone to act as artificial tooth roots. These are carefully positioned by the implant dentist and left to heal and integrate with the bone, which typically takes around 3–6 months.
Once healing has taken place, custom-made crowns or a bridge can be attached to the implants. These replacement teeth are designed to match the colour and shape of your natural teeth to create a natural-looking result.
At Transform Smiles, we provide dental implant treatment for a range of cases using modern planning techniques and technology.

Are You Suitable for Treatment?
Dental implants require healthy gums and sufficient bone to support the implant.
During your consultation, the dentist will assess your oral health using clinical examination and imaging such as X-rays or scans.
In some cases, preparatory treatment may be required before implant placement. This may include hygiene treatment or procedures designed to improve the health of the gums or bone.
Your dentist will explain all available treatment options and provide a personalised treatment plan if dental implants are suitable for you.
